6.7ct Sunstone (Oregon, USA) - performance cut in a new diamond pixel design
Inspired by the popular pixel/opposed bar design, my aim was to create a similar effect but with rhombus/diamond shaped pixels instead of squares. 
The crystal this gem was cut from had a red center with champagne color around the outside. Sunstone is not a color change mineral, but this gem has a lot of personality in different lighting conditions. 
Please take note of all photos for the fullest representation of them gem. These photos were all taken on the same day, same time, with the same camera. The only difference is the lighting conditions.
