WHAT TO EXPECT?
Over the span of 5-days, you will be guided through the process of taking 3 different types of raw minerals to polished gemstones with your own two hands. Step-by-step instructions are given by a professional, and students learn via first-hand experience. Our 5-day courses offer practical knowledge about faceting gemstones to help jumpstart your new hobby or career-path.
This course will briefly touch on the history and theory of gemcutting, as well as different machine configurations that are commonly used, and how they work. Students will each be provided with their own American mast-style faceting machines to cut their gems with.

MEET YOUR INSTRUCTOR
Bryan D. Drummond is an award winning gemcutter and goldsmith based in Las Vegas, Nevada. His recent notable accomplishments include being in the Artist Spotlight of the highly coveted Patek Phillipe: The Magazine (Volume V, Number 7), and earning first place in the AGTA Spectrum and Cutting Edge Awards (Innovative Faceting, 2023).​
Bryan takes a very methodical approach to his craft - always seeking to understand not only the how’s, but also the why’s. He offers instruction with this same mindset - making it easy for students to lock-in new knowledge, and apply it creatively towards their own ideas and projects.​
