WHAT TO EXPECT?

Over the course of 2 days, you will be guided through the process of taking a raw crystal to a polished classic-cut Round Brilliant gemstone. Step-by-step instructions are given by a professional, and students learn via first-hand experience. Our two-day classes are a great way to get practical knowledge about faceting gemstones while creating your own handcrafted souvenir.
This class will briefly touch on the history and theory of gemcutting, as well as different machine configurations that are commonly used, and how they work. Students will each be provided with their own American mast-style faceting machines to cut their gem with.
WHO IS THIS CLASS IDEAL FOR?
This beginner-level class does not require any specific knowledge - it can be taken by anyone who wants to learn about gemcutting and have a fun, hands-on experience faceting their own stone. This class is great introductory course for learning the basic methods and techniques.

Whether you want to try gemcutting as just a one-time experience, a new hobby, or even a potential career path, this 2-day class is a simple way to get started. If you have interest in the art of gemstone faceting, we would love to have you as a student for a Two-Day Hands on Gemcutting Workshop!
