WHAT TO EXPECT?

In a single day, you will be guided through the process of taking a raw crystal to a polished rose-cut gemstone. Step-by-step instructions are given by a professional, and students learn via first-hand experience. Our one-day classes are a great way to get your feet wet with faceting gemstones while creating your own handcrafted souvenir.
This class will briefly touch on different machine configurations that are commonly used, and how they work. Students will each be provided with their own American mast-style faceting machines to cut their gem.
WHO IS THIS CLASS IDEAL FOR?
This entry-level class does not require any specific knowledge - it can be taken by anyone who is curious about gemcutting and wants to have a fun, hands-on experience faceting their own stone. This class starts at the basics and is great even for children who show strong inclination for mechanics or math and numbers.

Whether you want to try gemcutting as just a one-time experience, a new hobby, or even a potential career path, this 1-day class is the simplest way to get started. If you are curious about this craft, would love to have you as a student for a One-Day Hands on Gemcutting Experience!
